Sound Isolation Calculations
We have a very large database with noise reduction figures from laboratories and 'in situ' measurements.
We use this database as the basis for our calculations.
Once we have all the noise reduction values from all the involved materials we also have to know how they are connected. Especially this part (connections between various building materials) is mainly a matter of experience as there is not much lecture about these values.
Further on we need to determine the reverberation time of the space/room where the noise isolation has to be calculated for.
Once we have all the ingredients, we use software to calculate and predict the sound isolation.
The sound isolation can be calculated for existing as well as new to build constructios/buildings. It can be calculated for facades as well as for floors, walss, ceilings etc.
